Q. I have a programme idea – how do I get it commissioned by the BBC?
A. We welcome your ideas – send us a short paragraph outlining who you are and what your idea is. Also do have a look at the commissioning guidelines from the BBC Radio Networks to see whether your idea is what they’re looking for.
Q. I have a drama script/comedy idea – can I send it to you?
A. We don’t make drama or comedy at the moment, so try another production company instead.
Q. Do you have any job vacancies?
A. While we don’t have any formal vacancies, we do work with a host of freelancers from a range of backgrounds. If you think you could be part of our team do send us your CV.
Q. Do you offer work experience placements?
A. Loftus is committed to helping people to get involved in radio production – whether you’re a recent graduate or someone taking a new career path. We are glad to welcome people on work experience or to shadow our production team when we can. We are a small company and so we’re limited in the amount of people we can accommodate.
